Dante Capers

During Dante’s time teaching Government at the county career center, an understanding of diversity was realized while recognizing that all students share a common need for validation, hope, high expectations, and at times support. In 2007 Capers transitioned to building administration with Warren City Schools at Harding High School, nine years of which as lead principal until 2021. Through the creation of transition and advisement programming to support all learners with academic and social emotional focus, students realized an increase in the 4-year graduation rate – 76% (2012) to 86.3% (2016) and continued to grow to 89.8% (2020). Capers is now focused on increasing academic outcomes through addressing the needs of the whole child in his most recent appointment to Associate Superintendent.

Capers is deeply involved in his local church, community organizations & non-profit boards. He is a proud husband and father to three beautiful daughters.
