Dionne Grayman
Dionne’s passion is amplifying voice. As an educator, Dionne has taught young people within the carceral system and within specialized high schools.
In her current role as staff developer for the Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility, she works alongside adults to create centers of belonging and care for historically marginalized students. Additionally, Dionne is a consultant to United for Brownsville, an organization working to improve the social and emotional learning outcomes for children ages 0-3. A committed community member, she is also the co-founder of We Run Brownsville, a grassroots effort to support women of color in developing healthy lifestyles. Dionne holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism as well as a Masters in Special Education. A recipient of a few awards, she is most proud of being the mother of her three amazing children-Sean, Silas and Sonia.
