Kathy Flynn-Somerville
Rev. Dr. Kathy Flynn-Somerville loves her life journey that embodies mindfulness practices. Retired as an in-the-trenches teacher and activist serving urban public education and its community, she finds her path continues to broaden. Her evolution and outreach are more liberating than ever. Additional, deeply personal gratification surfaces in preparation and presentation of each life ceremony she officiates as an ordained, licensed minister. Kathy continually works on a deep level to enhance her inner awareness and interpersonal intelligence that impacts change to benefit our world and future generations. After all, Ghandi said “We need not wait to see what others do.” More recently, Kathy heard Diego Perez (aka Yung Pueblo) say at a speaking engagement through CIIS, “A change in one is a change in millions.” Ah! The ripple effect that all living things have, with purpose, to leave its imprint!
What we do, what we say, how we are . . . matter.
"Retired," Kathy actively serves as Mindfulness Mentor, Coach, Facilitator, Public Speaker, Teacher, and Ordained, Licensed Minister.
Kathy and her husband Joe Somerville call the North Side of Pittsburgh “home.”
