Kelly Fields

Kelly Fields is a survivor of trauma. Both of her parents and her brother suffered from cocaine and heroin addictions. As resourceful as she was growing up, it was teachers that fed her. It was teachers that bought her prom tickets and senior pictures. It was teachers that banded together and provided her refuge when the electricity was turned off. Growing up in chaos taught her to hold tight to things that made sense. She learned early the power of learning and embracing knowledge as a means to succeed. As a principal, she shares her truth with other educators and students. She empathizes and practices from an altruistic place of compassion that has served her well as a leader. Through advocacy of mindfulness, she teaches others to use it as a vehicle to heal and empower. Through education, she empowers others to create their own destiny and realize their own divine potential
