Marjon Way-Bonkaana

Marjon Way-Bonkaana is one of the co-founders of Black Star Line, an African-centered family educational collective and the founder of North of Standard, an educational consulting company. Having homeschooled four children, she has dedicated her lifework to increasing the capacity and efficacy of family leaders as their child’s first teacher and primary socializing agent. She has worked in early childhood education for over thirty years and adult learning for over ten years as a coach, parent educator, and college instructor. Marjon works to make invisible structures and barriers visible then to approach transformation through a systems lens. She enjoys reading, taking walks, and talking with friends.
