Mary Jo Iarussi Donnelly, MS, RD, CAPP

Mary Jo is a practicing Registered Dietitian since 1987. She completed her Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University in 1985. Since then, she has provided her services at health clubs, long-term care facilities, teaching hospitals, weight loss centers, yoga studios and in the public schools. In private practice, Mary Jo has counseled hundreds of clients in the area of weight loss, sports nutrition and eating disorders. She also earned her teaching certificate in Family and Consumer Science and Personal Finance in 2007 and currently teaches, and coaches high school students and teachers. Mary Jo has trained and earned certifications in Mindfulness Training and provides Professional Development for teachers, staff and students on mindfulness practices and incorporating mindfulness into our daily lives. Mary Jo is a registered yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance and is currently teaching Yin yoga.

Mary Jo brings Positive Psychology principles into action in all she does, whether it’s teaching her students in the classroom, nutritional counseling, mindfulness trainings, or yoga. She is working to help transform the lives of others so that they may thrive on their journey through understanding and self-compassion.

Mary Jo is founder of Sexy at Sixty and Beyond, and an advocate of women supporting women on their journey. She believes in the inherent radiance, beauty, and goodness in all beings. She believes that individuals empowered by knowledge, self-awareness, self-love, a mindfulness practice, and community, can create healing transformations which can be echoed to enable others to awaken. She guides individuals to rediscover their own radiance and inner compass. Through the many years of learning and exploration, she has discovered the love affair between body, mind and spirit.
