Rana Boone

Rana has more than twenty-two years of experience as a teacher, instructional coach, national education consultant, and school administrator. She began her career as a first-grade teacher and remained in the classroom for ten years. In recent years she has led a K-12 school (her alma mater) as Principal. Rana is currently working with her sister to found a Hawaiian culture-based charter middle school on their home island of Maui, Hawai'i. Aside from working to offer students an excellent education, Rana is most passionate about empowering educators across the country with new instructional and leadership skills in order to move their schools forward. Rana is a proud graduate of Howard University, where she earned a BA in Political Science. She received her teacher certification and pursued her Masters of Education Administration at the University of St. Thomas-Houston. She is a certi-fied teacher in Texas and Hawai’i. Rana lives on Maui with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys running, pilates, reading, singing, and beach days with her large extended family.
