Sonya Mehta 

Sonya is a pollinator and a systems builder, passionate about building dynamic partnerships around innovative solutions. She believes that through cross-sector collaboration, we can transform the ways systems work to advance our collective humanity. She is the Founder of Metamorphosis Consulting, and is partnering with educational and other social impact organizations to offer support with strategic planning, program design, operations, and project management. 

For the last decade, Sonya has focused on driving systemic change in the nonprofit sector, local government, and education. With a specialty in nonprofit startup growth and business development strategy, she has spent her time building operational infrastructure around visionary ideas, raising funds, and driving scale through partnership development in policy, advocacy, donor cultivation, community organizing, teaching, curriculum development, strategic planning, and business development with a DEI lens. 

Sonya has worked as a teacher, in local government, and for a range of different social-impact nonprofits devising solutions in education, public health, and community development. She holds a BA from UCLA and a Masters in Education from UC Berkeley, and is an alumna of New Leaders Council - San Francisco, the Surge Institute for leaders of color in education, and the Transformative Education Leadership Fellowship.
