Wilfredo Medina

Wilfredo began his teaching career as a Teaching Artist at the age of 13. All thanks to becoming a member of an educational theatre company called FLT: Family Life Theatre. Over 40 years later he’s still with the company and for 35 of those years its proud Artistic Director. FLT is celebrating 34 years of collaboration with the NYC Department of Transportation’s Office Of Safety Education. Thanks to this collaboration FLT annually has the privilege of offering fully funded presentations to hundreds of NYC public schools.

Wilfredo has taught Critical Thinking as an adjunct Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Laguardia Community College. For over 25 years he’s facilitated workshops on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for various Fortune 500 companies both domestically and internationally.

As a Professional Director, Wilfredo has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award and is part of an Emmy Award winning team for a pilot tv show based on the work of FLT.
